Try updating your account's privacy settings:
ane. Go to Xbox.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
2. Click the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab.
3. Change all settings to Permit.

Same upshot. I can't play games considering of this and it ruined a night of fun with friends.
I clearly have multiplayer Immune.
When I try to turn my privacy settings on and off I am getting an error message. Looks like there is a problem with Xbox Live's security settings. Was working fine just a solar day ago.
Please fix this.

I can confirm this exact problem. This ability changed for no reason and I get the like "confused idiot" graphic when I go to change my settings. (which are and have been always set correctly)

What's weird is that I already have all of these multiplayer settings turned on, yet I still get the aforementioned bulletin every bit the original poster. This is really bogus for Microsoft not to know that something like this is happening, or at least not ever trying to fix it.

Every bit an update, I spoke with MS/Xbox support and their claim at present is that considering I'yard not a Live Gold subscriber, my Xbox can not host a multiplayer LAN game (I can, yet, *join* a LAN game). That this functionality worked previously is, they say, some sort of ability I wasn't supposed to have. They painted the moving-picture show equally "For any kind of Console (Xbox) multiplayer (except for joining a LAN game plain), you lot need a Live Gold subscription". They did mention that the other devices I utilise (Win 10 and Kindles) don't have that restriction, then I was able to "prepare" the issue by hosting the game on Win x. ... I don't really like this reply and it smells bad... my use of my Xbox and my LAN to play a local-multiplayer game doesn't use any of their server-side resources at all, and as far equally I'm concerned I have *ALREADY PAID* for this functionality. I promise they "do the right thing" and gear up this crap- and at the same time gear up the ridiculous not-functionality where when I purchase Minecraft texture packs/templates in my chief "Parent" business relationship, my "Kid" accounts don't take access to them, and have to accept them purchased for them separately. ... In that location's a way to do this right Microsoft, and this ain't information technology.
